Five Point Plazas

Design of transit-oriented public plazas arising from the extension of the Gold Streetcar Line from Uptown to the city’s Historic West End. The plazas aim to create an iconic community destination reflective of the local African-American heritage, with water play, places for gathering, venues for food and music, and public art. Currently in construction, the $3-million project will serve the adjoining Johnson C. Smith University and emerging new development. (Ignacio performed this work with a previous firm.)
